Cantonese Senior Citizen Center

The elderly of the Cantonese Worshipping Community meet every Wednesday afternoon from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the church in Fellowship Hall. The Program includes singing hymns and praises, Bible study, lunch and Tai Chi exercise. Led by Elder Laura Toy and Holina Folta.

DINKS & SINKS -- Double/Single Income No Kids Covenant Group (English)
It’s hard living in a culture where we are expected to marry and especially to have children. Wherever our paths have taken us, they bring us together in fellowship as DINKS and SINKS. We meet quarterly for fellowship, sharing in our experience knowledge, travels and to discuss issues and challenges of becoming older without the traditional family supports. Grandmas and Grandpas Covenant Group (English)
We rejected the group name “Seniors” --- too boring! However, the name is apt for our age group. In other words, you do not have to be a grandparent. There are 14 of us from three other church groups; PCC is the host church and Rev. Dr. Harry Chuck is our discussion leader. The group decides what to study. We have studied sermons and books such as The Heart of Christianity by Marcus Borg and God’s Politics by Jim Wallis. We are currently using the Bible study “The Present Word” which focuses on images of Christ. Another highlight is the wonderful desserts members take turns bringing!

We meet the third Wednesday of each month (with some breaks—July, August and December) at Ruth Leong’s home in San Francisco’s Richmond District at 3:00 p.m. Come join us for an opportunity to be in a peer group, to be in dialogue on mutually-agreed-upon topics, and to articulate one’s faith. The Pastoral Center of the Presbyterian Church in Chinatown's Mandarin ministry offers a gathering place and programming for the community every third Saturday of the month, 11:00 to 3:00 PM in Fellowship Hall. If you love Karaoke, this is the place to be! For information, contact Amy Feng.

Restaurant Fellowship (Mandarin)

This is an outreach ministry to the community. Many of the restaurant workers who live in Chinatown do not attend church because they work on Sundays during the day. They come to PCC because we have an evening fellowship and service that meets every Sunday night @ 8:00 p.m.

Wednesday Night Covenant Group (English)
Good food, fellowship and studies have always driven this group over the years. We take time out in our busy week schedule for Christ and are currently studying comparative religions. Using the “Idiots Guide to World Religions” as a resource, we are learning of other faiths and hosting guest speakers of these faiths to share their knowledge and experiences. We meet every Wednesday at the home of Dave and Nancy in the Outer Sunset. Come for potluck dinner 6:45-7:45PM and study 7:45 to 9:00PM.

Women’s Fellowship (English)
A lively group of Presbyterian Women. We study and fellowship around a wide range of topics like the Qi Goung, women's health issues, and caring for aging parents. We support local women through service project like making Valentine gift bags for women leaving prostitution.  We meet monthly on the third Monday evening at the Church for dinner, fellowship and dessert!
