TO: Women’s Fellowship and friends
At our last WF gathering, we talked about a project we can do for Christmas and agreed to support the Cameron House Cancer Support Group by contributing woolen or fleece hats, caps, beanies, and mufflers/scarfs. These items can be used year-round by the members and especially during winter time to help them keep warm and healthy.
If you can sew, knit, crochet, or shop to purchase items, you can help out with this project! The Cancer Support Group currently has 40 women and 10 men who actively participate.
Cameron House staff is planning a zoom Christmas celebration with Cancer Support members and will use our warm, fuzzy coverings as a holiday gift for the 50 active members.
The items need to be received by Saturday, December 19th. Please deliver to Cameron House (M-F during regular business hours) or to PCC during food pantry hours (Saturday, 10am-2pm). Label your package for the Cancer Support Group.
I hope those of you who can knit, crochet or sew can get started now to make however many you are able to do. If you have questions, please ask Mildred Hall or Jeanette Huie.
